A robot?

A plastic tub robot!
A plastic tub, some pens, and a motor: A robot? … Apparently so. The design is freely availble on the Internet, and was made out of household items; an elegant yet simple example of the sharing of ideas. The robots motor spins an off-centre weight, which in turn, vibrates the robot across the table, producing a collection of random lines drawn by the robots ‘legs’. An example given to the group of researches having a workshop in producing demonstrations to engage the public with science. The attendees are sharing their research topics, and hopeful outcomes from the workshop, including a group of researcher’s wishes to take their work to school.
